Who we are

BB (“Become Better”, “we”, “us”) is run by the data controller named in the Privacy Policy. Write to us at support@becomebetter.app.

What BB is for

BB is a self-development app. You tell it what you want to get better at, and it builds skills, lessons and practice for you. It is for learning and personal growth. It isn’t a medical, therapy or mental-health service.

AI-written lessons and feedback

Lessons, plans and feedback in BB are written by AI, based on widely known ideas. They are guidance, not professional advice. They are not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice, and they are not a substitute for talking to a qualified professional.

• The AI can be wrong or out of date. Think for yourself and check things that matter.
• Use “Report” on any lesson or message that seems wrong or offensive. We review reports.
• Please don’t type health or mental-health details into BB.

If you’re struggling, BB isn’t a crisis service. If a message shows you may be in distress, BB shows a helpline for your region (Samaritans in the UK, 988 in the US). If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (999 in the UK).

Using BB properly

Please don’t:

• misuse the AI, for example to make harmful, hateful, illegal or sexual content, or to get around BB’s safety checks;
• use BB to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
• type in other people’s personal information without a good reason;
• copy, scrape, reverse engineer or overload BB, or use bots or scripts with it;
• share your account, or make more than one to get extra free trials or invites;
• break the law or anyone’s rights while using BB.

If you break these rules we may warn you, pause your access or close your account.

Your content

What you type into BB stays yours. You give us permission to store it and send it to our AI provider so we can run BB for you, as the Privacy Policy explains. You’re responsible for what you type. You can use the lessons and feedback BB writes for you for your own personal use.

Our content

BB’s app, design, name, mark and writing belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use them to use BB, not to copy, sell or republish them. The AI may write similar things for different people, so we can’t promise anything it writes is unique.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over to use BB.
• Give us true details and keep your login private.
• Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
• You can close your account at any time with “Close account” in My account. It closes at once, and we delete your information within 30 days, apart from the short list in the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we’ll tell you why when we can.

Subscriptions

Payments aren’t live in the internal alpha, so BB costs nothing while we test it. When subscriptions start, they’ll be sold through the App Store. Before you pay you’ll see the price (in your local currency), any free trial, how renewal works and how to cancel.

• Apple takes the payment and handles billing. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
• You cancel in your Apple account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Closing your BB account doesn’t cancel it.
• Refunds follow Apple’s rules. We’ll update these terms before payments go live.

Availability during testing

BB is in private testing. Things may change, break or disappear, and we may pause or end testing. We’ll try not to lose your information, but we can’t promise it.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law doesn’t let us limit. Your legal rights as a consumer aren’t affected.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t a foreseeable result of something we did wrong, for losses caused by something outside our control, or for how you use what the AI tells you.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as BB grows. The date at the top says when it last changed. If a change matters to you, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it starts.

The law

English law applies, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also use your local courts. This doesn’t take away any consumer rights you have where you live.
